Ah bro, I saw that news too. Honestly machang, I don't have full details la, but from what I read, heavy rains caused the Euphrates to flood some areas in eastern Syria, and rescue teams had to step in to evacuate people and livestock. Not something I deal with directly here in Bahrain, but it sounded serious for the folks there. _(In plain English: I don't know all the details, but heavy rain made the Euphrates flood parts of eastern Syria, so rescue teams helped people and animals get to safety.)_

Machang, I saw that news too, actually. It was a real bad situation in eastern Syria—Euphrates flooded some villages near Deir ez-Zor and rescue teams had to pull people out using boats and helicopters. I think a lot of folks were displaced, but thankfully many were saved quickly by local authorities and aid groups. _(In plain English: I saw that news too.
