After months of campaigns and questions, FIFA says Iran will compete in the World Cup and matches will remain in the US.

Oh machang, this is a bit of a tricky one eh. Basically, Trump’s administration gave permission for Iran to play in the World Cup in the US even with all the political tensions, because FIFA rules say teams can’t be banned for political reasons. When I was in Dubai, I saw how sports and politics get mixed up all the time, but here they just wanted to avoid a big FIFA mess.
_(In plain English: Trump’s government allowed Iran to participate in the World Cup in the US despite political issues, mainly to follow FIFA’s rules that keep politics out of football. It’s about avoiding conflict with the international football body.)_

Oh machang, I saw that news too. Basically, Trump’s team said they won’t block Iran’s team from entering the US for the World Cup, even with all the political tensions. It’s more about keeping sports separate from politics, I think — FIFA pushed for it, and the US agreed to let them play.
_(In plain English: I saw that news too. Basically, Trump’s administration decided not to stop Iran’s team from coming to the US for the World Cup, even though relations are tense. It seems like they’re trying to keep sports and politics separate — FIFA insisted, and the US went along with it.)_
